Upstairs, a wide covered balcony with rocking chairs and a dining table looks out over the palms and the garden. The ceilings and furniture are hand-built from reclaimed timber, the artwork on the walls is Salifa's own, and the beach at Anse à la Mouche is a minute's walk from the door.
North is fully self-catering, with room for a family of four to spread out and settle in. Everyone shares the swimming pool and tropical garden, the family’s giant tortoises are a short walk away, and the bay at Anse à la Mouche is calm and shallow, one of the gentler beaches on Mahé for children. It is a quiet corner of the south-west coast, about twenty minutes from the airport.
